MDC-8

The MDC-8 provides instant and scalable network application services to field based data users in a single energy efficient and mobile unit and can be scaled from one server to eight complete servers simply by plugging in more BioDigitalPC®’s. The MDC-8 is also equipped with an integrated Cisco router, and RAID Controller card connected to 4TB (2x 2TB) of SSDs, with an option for 8TB (2 x 4TB).

When completely scaled, the MDC-8 allows for 8 BioDigitalPC®’s containing 8 to 32 CPU cores, 16 to 64GB DDR3 RAM, up to 32TB of on-board ultra-fast SSD storage.

For thin client deployment, the MCDC-8 can also act as a host unit for provisioning network services in a single self-contained mobile unit, making the tasks of large client deployments as straight forward as plugging in another BioDigitalPC®.

Combing the MDC-8’s BioDigitalPC® with Becrypt’s SECRET level security solution ensures that user data is protected whilst maintaining operational flexibility.

The BioDigitalPC®’s used in the MDC-8 can be hot swapped during operation allowing for upgrades and increased provision of application services to be carried out by non-technical personnel instantly.
